Reno Memorial Day Tournament 
Coaches Letter

The Reno Convention Center and the City of Reno have gone out of there way to provide of of the best basketball facilities in the country.  Enjoy and respect the atmosphere.
Please read all of the contents of this letter!
Keep checking the web site every day for updated information.  You will not be mailed any thing.

All Registration must be done on line! Check the Web site regularly for updates and changes.
Please stay with in the desiganated room blocks of the hotels. These hotels help support the tournament.

All players and coaches must have their AAU Cards. If you do not have your card, you must purchase one.  If we have to register for you , you will be charged $10 for the process. Register on line www.aausports.org. Just get it done.  

It is very important the teams come prepared for registration.
Please leave you cell phone numbers at the registration table.

All teams must present a manila folder at registration:
.  Coaches must keep thier folder with them through out the tournament.
The Roster will remain with the tournament staff and will not be given back!

The folder must contain
Completed team roster ( even if you have sent one in, bring another!)
AAU Cards - Players and coaches
Birth Certificates 

Coaches Responsibilities
Follow the AAU code of conduct.  You are responsible for you teams and fans actions.  We are holding you to a higher standard. Un Sportsman like conduct will not tolerated at all.  It is a privilege, not right , for you and your fans to participate in this event.  If the police have to be called, you or your fans will go to jail!  This one of the greatest tournament in the country.  We will not let out of control parents and coaches ruin it.  This is your official warning!  Make sure you keep an eye on  your teams.  You will be responsible for any damage done to the building of equipment. 

Make sure you inform the parents of the following
Parking - $7.00 per day ( limited parking spaces (car pool, car pool, car pool)
Admission $10:00 per day (Adults) ( the lines will be long - Get to the gym  early)
No outside food our beverage can be brought in tot he convention center. (There is a spot for team coolers)
No Bouncing balls in the hall ways or other parts of the convention center.
There is run room area for kids ( Bounce house and video games)
Clean up your bench after you play your game.
Fill out the score sheets completely.
Check the Master Bracket in the lobby after every game for possible schedule changes.

Protest
If a coach wishes to challenge the age or grade of a player, they must follow these guidelines.

Inform the score keeper that they are officially protesting.  The time of the forfeit will be recorded.  At the conclusion of the game, They coach must go to the main registration table pay a $100.00 protest fee.  The tournament director will locate the teams and players in questions.

If the protest is legitimate, the player will be disqualified and the game forfeited.  $50 of the protests fee will be returned. The coach that played with an illegal player is subject to disciplinary hearing.  The hearing will take place immediately.

If the protest is not legitimate, The game will stand and no protest money will be returned.

The Tournament Directors decision is final!
